Joe & Libby Visit from Maine

Joe and Libby visited for a week over Fall Break. We had the best time and Sola got to meet her Uncle Joe and Aunt Libby. Libby loved dressing Sola in little pink outfits since she has 3 boys! We went through a 4 mile corn maze, carved pumpkins and had a Halloween themed poker tournament, went to Six Flags Fright Fest, and spent our first night away from Sola! Thanks Graffy & Nana. We miss you, Joe & Libby!

Celebrating Graffy & Nana's Birthdays

We celebrated Graffy & Nana's birthdays this month. We met at Longhorn's (yummy) for Nana's birthday and had a bash at Graffy's house. Babies, babies and babies on the way...We tried to get Clint and Brooke's baby name out of them early because we "needed it" for Christmas stockings..but no luck! They are good at keeping secrets.

Labor Day Weekend

Here's a small slide show of some of this weekend's activities. We went to Vogel and had a little picnic. Dana and Diane went out to Hiawassee for her birthday. We hung out over at Tommy's for a little bit one day. Sola is becoming a screamer. Trying out her vocal chords, which are getting stronger by the day.

More Pictures of the Weekend

Amazing Weekend at Reynolds Plantation!

We had the best weekend! It was so nice to get out of town and be pampered! Diane H, Diane S, Telaka and I had some amazing massages at the Ritz while the guys played golf in 100+ degree weather. I wonder who won out on that one? We went to their pool where we were waited on hand and foot by the cabana boy (older man). We think we could handle being rich, but we wouldn't be snobby like some of those women- ha! Telaka and I got to have a second massage (hot stone) and it was so nice! We really enjoyed the weekend. Sola got a little hot at the pool but overall she was a pretty happy baby. We found out she doesn't like the noise of restaurants because she screamed bloody murder until we would take her outside. She was almost instantly feeling better. Sola is a lucky little girl to have so many people that love her! I don't think she will be hurting for attention at all!

Today is my first day at work and Will's first day at home. I'm doing surprisingly well, but it is only 11:30am. Ha. I had a rough night but I hope that will be the worst of it!

Thanks Dad, Diane, Diane H. and Jim for an amazing weekend getaway!

Sola Spends Time with Aunt Jenni & Uncle Charlie

Sola got to spend some time with Aunt Jenni and Uncle Charlie yesterday. Jenni reminisced about the times when she kept Derek and I and we used to have school everyday. Jenni reminded me that it was mostly play! I do think that helped us a lot when we started school. We had our own private pre-school from one of the best teachers I know! Lucky us. We are hoping to get Sola into the Methodist preschool once she gets to that age. I've heard good things about it. Tommy said most kids who go there are way ahead when they start school.

My next challenge will be starting work and leaving Sola during the day. Luckily, she will be able to stay home with Will. We will see how much work he gets done! He might have to start working mostly when I come home. Anyway, I feel for all the working moms because it is really hard in the beginning to leave. Maybe it will become much easier as time goes by. I need to help all of those families and kids at school who need help too. I'll just try to keep that in mind.

Sola is Growing So Quickly

We can't believe how much Sola is changing everyday. She is now smiling, trying to babble, holding up her head (almost) and pushing herself up with her legs. She went from sleeping all the time (except at night) to interacting with us. We've started walking at the park with her new friend, Aubrie. Will runs and Janna and I walk. Sola is amazed by the trees. We went with Great-Mamaw to the park the other day. Sola slept most of the time of course.

Sawyer's Visit: Going Away Party

Sawyer is so adorable! He's moving to Dawsonville this weekend and we all wanted to see him off. He's growing up so quickly. He has 8 teeth and can say words like "pull the string," "what's that," "look at that," and things like mama, daddy, etc. He's so adorable and looks just like his daddy! We'll miss seeing that little cutie so often. Mamaw S, Diane, Grandaddy T., Nana, Derek and Telaka & Sola were there for the fun.

Sola's Grandparents Visit

Michael, LaVerne & Matt got to meet the first baby girl in the Craig family in 26 years this summer. Needless to say she will probably be quite spoiled! Sola went to Gatlinburg, Six Flags, Pigeon Forge and spent the day with Aunt Diane while the family rafted the Ocoee River. Can't wait until Sola meets her 8 Craig boy cousins: Jordan, Sammy, Jacob, Zachary, Gavin, Evan, Cody, Aaron and her aunts and uncles!

The adventures of new parenthood. Each day is a blessing.
